General Rambling

My little baby boy is now 7 months old! I can hardly believe it! I watched him last night but I wasn't feeling well so I didn't enjoy it as much as I usually do. Jon and I bought him a baby Einstein exersaucer thingy and he loves it! He was arching like crazy when I put him down on his jungle mat and came so close to turning from back to stomach. It won't be long and he will be mobile. Look out! He was chewing and biting on everything yesterday and at the doctor today Rachel noticed that he is cutting a tooth! He is 17 lbs now and doing great. He says mama and all kinds of other vocables and loves to laugh.

I feel very thankful that we have had President's Day off. I got so much done today not the least of which was just being able to have some quiet moments to myself. I still didn't get to make the Dublin Coddle I was going to make and there is no way its happening now. I have to get to bed now so I can get up early and get a jump on the day. I plan on walking even though Tracy can't because she has her son this week. Then I have a bit of set up for a busy morning at school. I wasn't very organized with it last year so I'd like to remedy that. Tracy and I will still get a chance to walk after school and then I am going to take her out for the dinner I owe her. She helped me with an event at my school and I'd like to thank her for that.

It looks like we might get that storm from California which may bring more of the "S" word our way by Wednesday. I hope not. One of the most depressing things about this time of year is getting psyched out. Just when you start to think that 30's is cold and the roads are looking better, you get hit with a snow/ice storm or a blast of sub zero arctic air!

Rhi has her last basketball practices this week followed by the Rochester tournament this weekend. The tournament is both Saturday and Sunday which puts us at a disadvantage for getting things done.

Jon had his 1st moonlighting in quite awhile. He came home tonight sick. This is like the 3rd or 4th time he has had fever stuff this year. I, (knock on wood), have been pretty lucky. I have had a little bit of stomach stuff and some days of just feeling general malaise but that's been it. Rhi has a bit of a cough and some infected sinus so we'll have to keep our eye on that. *sigh* I can't wait for the Spring!

We might fly to Albuquerque to see Jon's sister on Spring Break. The key word is "fly". I'll have to see if I can get past my anxieties. After that we can start planning for Coeur d'Alene. I am *so* looking forward to that! I haven't been there in so long! Song for tonight:

" Now where's your picket fence love
And where's that shiny car
Did it ever get you far?
You never seem so tense, love
Never seen you fall so hard
Do you know where you are?"
