When I was young and everyone seemed a bit cranky my mom would always say the same thing-"must be the barometric pressure". The validity of this theory is still debated but most teachers and parents are convinced that changes in air pressure affect people and not usually for the better! We had a very dreary and cold day here in Minnesota and everyone seemed affected.
My morning started with a typical nasty comment from my brother on my facebook. I just don't have time for nasty people in my life. By contrast,I had a really nice day with Rachel and Max. We were all going to go out to Whitewater as previously mentioned but due to the weather we made other plans. I went and picked Rachel up and was amazed at how much my little Grandbaby has grown in just 6 days! He is such a big boy! We went out for Mexican for lunch and then took Max home for a nap with his daddy. Rachel and I then went to see My Sister's Keeper. I loved this movie! Such a great message about how to live! After the movie I took Rachel back home. I played ball with Max for a bit and then went to Rhi's game. Rhi hurt her ankle at the tournament and so she was just there to watch. All of the kids seemed cranky. They were yelling at each other and looked very frustrated. Many of the parents were cranky too. I caught a few disparaging comments but chose to ignore them. The straw that broke this chics back was my husbands attitude when I crossed the field after the game. Rhi and her friend had not had dinner before the game so they were starving (it was 9 by now). I went home with the two girls and a headache and made them some grilled cheese. They wanted to go see a movie but it just got to be too late. I am hoping tomorrow will be better overall even though our weather is supposed to be much of the same. I'll start the day with a walk with Tracy before she leaves to Fargo for a week. Hopefully that will get my day started right! Posted by Michelle at June 30, 2009 10:20 PM
