Merry Christmas Eve!

I am looking back on my last entry and can't believe Max's cold started on Dec 3. It has persisted and cumulated into a bad fever the past 4 days or so. Rachel took him in but no signs of ear infection and his lungs sound good. The past 2 days or so it has been better so I hope he feels better by tomorrow. Taking a break from daycare this week should help him get a leg up on it.

If you have been watching the news you know that we have been getting blasted by a big winter storm. I really enjoy these storms! First, it is really nice and cozy to be inside by the fireplace with your family watching all that snow come down! Second, it is wonderful to have a good reason to stay home and just relax! You wouldn't believe how many folks have trouble with that and my own daughter Rachel is one of them. "I get cabin fever!" She has to get out and go somewhere every day or she just isn't complete. It also amazes and shocks me how many churches are still trying to have services! That's right, get your parishners out on the roads and put their lives and other peoples lives at risk! Merry blanking Christmas! Some people take the "we are hearty Minnesotans" to the point of absolute stupidity!

Jon is home for the break which is going to be wonderful! His mom his our houseguest for Christmas which is really nice. I just hope we can get her home on Saturday.

Today will be spent wrapping, watching the Ghost Hunters marathon and cooking for Christmas Eve dinner tonight. My Christmas cards are coming but the will be late. My car is having mucho problems so that has eaten up what little time I have had to do *anything*!

One of the greatest gifts I have had so far are the little black-capped Chickadees that finally found my feeders! They were out there this morning and I was so thrilled! I have been waiting for almost a month for them to find it! Sit back and enjoy! I am hoping to get some Cardinals too!
