Happy New Year Late!

Well, I know it is late but I wish everyone a Happy New Year. This year was quite a bit better than the past few for which I am forever thankful. Max has been such a big part of that. I still have some unfinished business with my mom's death, however, and I must get on it soon. I have all the pictures she left behind that I have yet to distribute to my brothers and my sister. I think the majority of them won't give a rip, really, unless they *don't* get them. You know how that goes...

Rachel took Max in to the Doc today. He has had a lump in his groin and the Doc believes it to be a hernia. On Thursday he will see the Pediatric Surgeon who Jon knows and says is very good. Thank God we are here at Mayo. I just get sick thinking of my little guy having to have surgery though. Poor dude.

My car has still not arrived but they did drive down a car for me to borrow until mine arrives. I am learning all kinds of things like how to use bluetooth technology and call people from my car and how to start and stop an engine without a key (which feels VERY strange). I am loving the heated seats as our temperatures are in the minus 6 range with a minus 20 or so windchill. Welcome January.

Jon gets to go to a conference in Orlando in a few weeks the lucky dog! I wish we could all go but it is right in the middle of school and he won't have any free time from the conference. We will have to think about Spring Break.

My incision is healing nicely. I will be so glad to be finally rid of that literal pain in the side! I have started running again. Jon and I went to the RAC (Rochester Athletic Club) and I ran for only 15 minutes on the treadmill. Sad. Very sad...
