Have I Told You Lately

15 years and going strong!Always my favorites!

15 years of marriage and 26 with a man I love like no other! We had a lovely dinner out together and are now getting ready to cuddle while a thunderstorm passes over. I know I just fell in love with him yesterday in Mrs. Atlee's English class. It will always be so clear in my mind no matter how old I become...

This song was playing during dinner tonight. Just by chance!

"Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you theres no one else above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away all my sadness
Ease my troubles thats what you do

For the morning sun in all its glory
Greets the day with hope and comfort too
You fill my life with laughter
And somehow you make it better
Ease my troubles thats what you do
Theres a love thats divine
And its yours and its mine like the sun
And at the end of the day
We should give thanks and pray
To the one, to the one

Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you theres no one else above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away all my sadness
Ease my troubles thats what you do

Theres a love thats divine
And its yours and its mine like the sun
And at the end of the day
We should give thanks and pray
To the one, to the one

And have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you theres no one else above you
You fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles thats what you do
Take away all my sadness
Fill my life with gladness
Ease my troubles thats what you do
Take away all my sadness
Fill my life with gladness
Ease my troubles thats what you do"

Peek-a-boo!

Mike who? Who do you have to call? When will Rhi learn more about basketball?

"I'll chase him round the moons of Nibia and round the Antares maelstrom and round perdition's flames before I give him up!"

Oops I did it again!

Over did it more like it.And your saying, what now? Nothing bad, I promise! Just my back. I am my mother's daughter but at least I am not starting to look like her as a few of my brothers are! (and I don't mean just weight wise!). It may have been lifting the steam cleaner up and down the stairs, pulling weeds or lifting Max. Whatever it was, it got me. I woke up in extreme pain. My upper back is going crazy. This hasn't happened in a long time so I have no flexeril on hand. I did take 600mg of Advil though and that has taken the edge off. A hot bath should help too. I haven't been so good about using my ab roller lately and now I am paying the price. *sigh* I may have arthritis in my back like my mom but I am never going to be using that as an excuse for things as she did. Life is too short.

I think what I will be today is go and pick up one of those heated back massager thingys you stick on a chair. That would be wonderful right now!

Happy 1st Birthday Max!

We had a wonderful day today getting ready for and celebrating Max's 1st Birthday! I can hardly believe that one year ago he came and took the place of so many lost things in my life. He more than filled the space! His smile and expressions of wonder tonight as he opened presents and tried cake were priceless! Grandma put on his night time diapers and jammies and kissed him good night. He had a very long evening!

He is pretty popular already too! In attendence were Grandma and Grandpa Sanderfoot, Great Grandma and Grandpa Nelson, Tracy and Benny, Jon, Rhi, myself and Bri and of course Rachel and Pete. I will see if I can get some pics up tomorrow. I am tired and have to get up early to walk! Happy Birthday my sweetie love!

I picked the wrong day to...

So. I've managed to put off going through my mom's things for two years now. One of my goals for this week is to get through most of it. I think now I will be lucky to get through one box. The problem is that it isn't just the life of on person I am holding in my hands. My Dad, Grandpa and Grandma's things are also in there. It was just too much. I made it up to my Grandma's jewlery box. One of the necklaces still had her hair in it. Too much. Not ready. *sigh* I am letting it sit for a few days in the guest room before getting back to it.

It would have been really nice to have gone through it with my family but they were more interested in other things. I remember sorting through boxes in my brother's basement alone for days. I think my sister came down a few times but that was it. With six siblings, you wouldn't think you'd be left on your own for such things. Only three even attended their own mother's funeral so what did I expect?

. Even more depressing is the thought that as one of the youngest, I will get to go through this many times over when my brothers pass on. Fun fun. Hopefully I will be an expert on grief by then. I'm not there yet. Not even close.

A great day to be alive! Spent a wonderful morning with my husband followed by lunch at Quiznos, a hike at Whitewater (just Jon and I-unheard of!), chinese for dinner, firepit, smores and a perfect Gin and Tonic as prepared by my husband!

Goodbye My Friend!

Tracy left today for Fargo and I won't see her again for a week! Bummer. We took our last walk together this morning so tomorrow I think I will get back to running.

It always amazes me how fast summer goes and how little I get done even though I truge along each day trying to accomplish something. Everyday living gets in the way.

I did manage to get a bit done this morning after my walk. Mostly yard work as the weather is so cold right now.By noon I had to scoot off to a hair appt followed by lunch with Rachel and shopping. Rachel had to go to work and I got to watch Max for a few hours. He is the sweetest and will soon be having his first birthday! We are hoping Daubes can make us a pirate dinosaur cake! It's really hard to find pirate dinosaurs...

Pete fell off of his family's boat going 45mph so he was late getting Max. He seemed OK but I didn't know at the time he had fallen out of a boat so I wasn't paying too close attention. I can't get a hold of Rachel right now so I am not sure how he is doing.

After Max left we went and grabbed dinner and went to see Ice Age III. Tomorrow looks like the garden and maybe Whitewater now that it is warming up. Where is summer? It's so cold! I don't exactly love being hot and sweaty all the time but 50's is too cold for July! Give me the 80's and I'll be happy!
